ASICS Gel-NYC Black

The ASICS Gel-NYC Black builds on the Gel-NYC’s design, combining elements inspired by archival ASICS running shoes with a more modern and chunky sole. In this version, the design is almost entirely based on black with dark graphite accents, giving the shoe a more technical and visually minimalist look. The silhouette prominently features a layered panel design, dynamic side lines, and the characteristic proportions of the Gel-NYC model.The color scheme is based on several shades of black paired with subtle graphite and slightly reflective elements. Matte mesh covers most of the upper, while darker synthetic panels visually reinforce the construction and highlight the model’s side lines. The subtle differences between the matte and slightly glossy surfaces ensure that the layered panel design remains highly visible despite the monochromatic color scheme. A silver detail in the center of the sole further breaks up the uniform black of the design.The upper is made from a combination of breathable mesh, synthetic panels, and reinforcing elements with a smoother finish.
